■  Basic performance

      ATEEE Series VFC precise air conditioner is specially designed for engine intake air conditioning engine test cell. The patent technology and products are used, with the temperature control accuracy of ±0.5℃, humidity control accuracy of ±3%RH and pressure control accuracy of ±0.1kPa.


■  Control Principles

      Pressure:Pressure is controlled by frequency conversion of the blower. The intake air conditions can be preset with usual setting of air flow rate at 20-30%. By using complete follow-up device to control the pressure, the control accuracy can be higher (<0.05kPa), faster in response time, than without it. It is with no lag, and suitable for the transcient control of intake air pressure in the engine ETC test.

      Temperature:Controlled by an air heater which is either direct electrical heating or indirect electrical heating controlled by PWM or electric pulse control.

      Humidity:Humidified by wet film and controlled by dew point control method.

Selection of flow

The parameter selection of the intake air conditioner is based on the max. flow of the tested engine on the testbed, which is about 5-7 times of the engine power for the reciprocating piston engine, the upper boundary for diesel, the lower boundary for gasoline.

Selection of pressure

The pressure regulating range is usually set according to standard intake air condition normally 100kPa. Lower pressure is set only for plateau simulating, and some other tests, for example, in 3000m plateau, the atmospheric pressure may be 70kPa.

Selection of temperature and relative humidity

Temperature and R. humidity are correlated and have relatively large influence with each other. They can be selected according to test standards, e.g. 25℃,50%.
